Davis or Cal?

I am a Cal graduate and my brother is a Davis graduate I know both campus.

Here is the link for Haas admission stats. About half of the applicants get into Haas. It is competitive.

I have been a hiring manager for years also. Of course, I pay attention to where the applicants graduated but just as important are the GPA, work experience, etc.

My thoughts on your concerns,
-happy atmosphere
Follow your heart.
-workload/stress
Berkeley is known for harsh curves.
-job opportunities after graduating
In addition to the college, your gpa, work experience, interviewing skills also will affect job opportunities. My cousin’s son graduated from Davis Managerial Economics a few years ago and got a good job. But a top student from a top college will always have good job opportunities.
-safety on campus
I don’t know for sure but Davis seems safer.
-FPF Program at Cal
My friend’s son just did FPF, lived in the dorm during FPF and has no complains.
-What would I do if I wasn’t accepted into the Haas Business School?
Most students switch majors. Econ can be a backup but it is also an impacted major. A few transfer to other schools.
