<p>Of course, I expect my recs will be in by November 1 because I’ve specifically mentioned this to both of my teachers…but obviously they are very busy people with lots of recommendations to write, and they may accidentally send their recs in a day or two late. Is this a big deal? I don’t know.</p>
<p>The unversity probably wouldn’t even start reviewing an app at all until all materials are in. Just remind your teachers (politely!) beforehand to make sure they at least get the letters postmarked by Novermber 1, to be on the safe side. I actually expect my recs to get there before my application does (!)</p>
