I know you were disappointed last year momofc, but the continued claim that your D was interviewed for the Stamps is not true and can seriously mislead people. Your D was one of 200 people interviewed by telephone, it had nothing to do with Stamps. Stamps interviews are via Skype and are conducted AFTER the DHS awards are announced. Your D’s interview was in early February, I believe you said. This was explained to you very clearly last year, and has been confirmed this year by carefully and diligently noting who was interviewed by telephone and who wasn’t. The results clearly show there is zero connection to being asked to interview for those calls and winning or not winning anything.
I would also add that not being selected for competitive programs is not the same as being ignored. But it should be moot. With the recent change to the Honors Program and Tulane Scholars, she should be able to join the HP, which is now really what was Tulane Scholars, at the end of this year assuming she gets at least a 3.8 cumulative. That should also make her eligible to live in Weatherhead with the rest of the HP group. Congrats on her 4.0 and Dean’s List, btw.
