It is certainly not my intention to mislead. If you read carefully, I stated correctly that my daughter was a Stamps nominee. That is precisely what the college stated in the email. She was not a finalist. I understand that. We have been surprised at the ill-defined nature of the Honors program at Tulane. That is good news about the Tulane Scholars program. I cannot understand why a top student would not be admitted into a program on merit alone. When is a 4.0 not good enough? When is a 4.0 not competitive? Right now we feel that the Scholars programs bear a strong resemblance to the Greeks - we like you, but not you… I have written to several people at Tulane and asked for an explanation. My emails have been completely ignored. I find that very rude. Maybe Tom Luongo can help.
