Dec 1st CR Version II (Brain functions, photography, father artist...) Discussion

Yes!!! lol
i guess i missed 5 then…
But i am still worried.
I feel like there are other questions i missed but i dont remember…
Do you guys remember any other questions?

For the LAST time, draw on is CORRECT. There was NO ERROR.

Draw upon is incorrect: [Draw upon Synonyms, Draw upon Antonyms | Thesaurus.com](<a href=“DRAW+UPON Synonyms & Antonyms | Thesaurus.com”>http://thesaurus.com/browse/draw+upon?s=t)
Draw from is incorrect: [Draw from Synonyms, Draw from Antonyms | Thesaurus.com](<a href=“DRAW+FROM Synonyms & Antonyms | Thesaurus.com”>DRAW+FROM Synonyms & Antonyms | Thesaurus.com)
Draw on is correct: [Draw on Synonyms, Draw on Antonyms | Thesaurus.com](DRAW+ON Synonyms & Antonyms | Thesaurus.com)

The question discussed how the novels draw on her past experiences, which only fits the idiomatic expression for draw on.

I just need to make sure I got the grid-in’s right because I felt confident with everything else. This is my last chance for the 800 in math…

Was it stimulated or had stimulated for #7 about farmers in Europe and bananas?

And for lines 71-73 Lange’ s conviction i put that you have to take her beliefs into account.

why did the author put quotes around “objective”??

Did anyone put the tone shift from serious to humorous for that???

I put stimulated

Quotes around objective to Convey skepticism

convey skepticism and shift from “synonym for wanting” to disappointed

Will a -1 on writing with a 11/12 essay be 800?

@fishingforgold: YAY thanks :D

Nerdyjew, I’m going to guess that’s a 780 minimum.

The writing wasn’t that bad besides draw on. I’m pretty sure 12 with -1 would be 800 though, not sure about 11.

For the essay (deeply held opinions - reasonable yes/no) I did the case with Mayella Ewell and Tom Robinson in To Kill a Mockingbird [racism] and then divine right in 18th Century France [kings = gods] with good details and analysis, are those good enough for a 12?

Essays have nothing to do with the examples… It’s all objective stuff like grammar and organization. The fact that you had two will be good.

last time i had two and got a 10

Just work on structure and grammar. 11/12 range is few to no grammar usage errors.

Woahhh the Triangle length for the #20 was 12 rad3 I thought?

@thenerdyjew, the last two times, I put three and got an 8 and a 9 respectively. It’s not the number of examples, it’s how you use them. My third example was always a bit “meh” in answering the prompt. You should be fine.

Back to the discussion, for one of the grid-ins:

“Two pans are filled with equal amounts of cake batter. One is 1/3 full, the other is 1/4 full. If all the batter from the large pan were emptied into the smaller pan, how full would the smaller pan be?”

The answer is 2/3, correct?

Correct, musicislife

Yes it’s 2/3:

Big pan can hold 10 cups, gets filled with 2.5 cups.
Small pan can hold 7.5 cups, gets filled 2.5.
5.0/7.5
