Yeah, I did. But I never finished the book, lol.

Man, looks like I’m gonna retake these. -__-

How is the PR book?

800 World History! I’m pretty freaking happy right now.

I screwed up bad. Don’t understand how though. My tests went well. :
Math 2: 640
Lit: 670

Looks like I’ll be retaking next month

710 Bio E.

Lolol, ah well, doesn’t even matter.

So I called my top choice and the AO said the range for subject test scores is 600 to 800. Don’t worry if your score is in the 600s/low 700s (retake if you really feel the need and you know you can improve by at least 40+ points).

He even mentioned someone who was admitted EA with a 540 in a subject test. :o

alexissssss-your scores are far from horrid. really.

Perhaps? I just really want to do my absolute best! I want to be as qualified as possible. :D

800s in Spanish w/o listening, World History and US History
Was expecting the 800 in Spanish due to it being very easy, but I’m pleasantly surprised at my 800s in the History tests. Will definitely help in my RD apps to the Ivies.

So what do you guys think, can good SAT II scores cover up for mediocre SAT scores? I got a 640 CR 670 M 650 W , yet I have good SAT 2 scores being 710 BIO, 750 Chem, and 800 M2. I really want to get into top colleges but a 1960 just won’t cut it!

^bro you have to retake the sat. those scores can’t get you in top colleges. don’t want to burst the bubble. anyways, you have to be an all-round applicant for ivies, not just test scores, so you could still make it.

I just got the World History - 800! so psyched.

CC burst the bubble before it was formed, but thankfully my scores are my weakest part.

Math2 800
Physics 800

I thought I had done terribly in physics :>

Literature - 780
World History - 770

Do I need to retake WH? From what I’ve seen on this thread, 770 isn’t very competitive :/

A 770 in World History sounds pretty good to me; whether or not it’s competitive depends on which colleges you’re applying to. If there are any subject tests where you got less than 700, though, those would be ones worth retaking if you have time (especially if the colleges you apply to “superscore”).
Mine were: Literature 700
US History 620
Math Level II 550
Literature was swapped on the test date from Chemistry (and the switch was well worth it!). I really should have swapped Math Level II for another subject I felt stronger in (f.ex., Spanish, World History, or Math Level I); even though I’m currently taking AP Calculus, I really should have paid more attention to the study guide - ouch!
Fortunately, I’ve already been accepted by 3 of the 11 colleges I applied to, and my intended major is English (w/teacher certification), so the good Literature score may still impress some of the schools which haven’t made admissions decisions yet.

Make sure you take the writing portion of the ACT; then you won’t have to take the regular SAT as well - like I had to. :(
