Thanks nwgolfer321 =]

Good. I was getting worried that it was the a^m<(-a)^n question

Thanks nwgolfer321 =]

Good. I was getting worried that it was the a^m<(-a)^n question

It can be expressed as Y=(25(3^x)). The question stated that it’s after 5 hours, so it’s Y=(25(3^5)) or Y=(25*243)=6,075.

The punch one wasnt 48? :(

I devided 80 by 5 and got 16. after that, I multiplied 16 by 3. :(

I have two wrong so far and I think that’s it. The other one is really stupid. Area of the rhombus
I just multipled the diagonals without deviding by 2.

What’s worse is that I forgot the area of teh rhombus, so I cut it into 4 triangles just to make sure. And in the Triangle equation I also put base x height and forgot to devide by two. I got all the othe questions right though.

120 ![]()
tan > x/2
the last one was r+s/sqrt(rs)

these were the good ones. Others were REALLY easy.

what was the answer to the tent question ?

^5. sqrt(27)…rounded down to 5

I dont remember rounding anything :S

wasnt it just Pythagorean ?

Also, wasnt there something sqrt(34) ?

To solve the tent question:

The hypotenuse is given to be 6. The base of the entire tent is also given to be 6. Divide the base into two, so the base is now 3 and the height is 6. Now use Pythagorean’s theorem. The answer is Sqrt(27), which rounds to 5.2.

EDIT: Yes, there was a sqrt(34) as an answer somewhere, but it wasn’t the answer to the tent problem.

Perfect! ;)

Anything else that was on the test that was a bit tricky?

i got liek -5 . what score would that be
shoot man i wanted all right -_-

31-32? @american

UGH! i already have a 33 in my last attempt! i needed 34!!! :(

I might be wrong…but I am positive that -5 wont be a 34 :/

@american I feel you on that one. :/

Hey guys, do y’all remember the specifics of the turtle & hare question? (besides that it was xy)

It’s REALLY bugging me because I can’t remember it at all ._.;;
thanks~

The turtle moved 3x faster than the snail, the hare moved 2x faster than the turtle, how much faster did the hare move than the snail? Something like that. but it was xy

^ Thank you :)

Nwgolfer is correct except without the coefficients. The problem went like this:

“A turtle moves x times as fast as a snail. A hare moves y times as fast as a turtle. How fast does a hare move compared to a snail?” And the answer is xy times as fast.

haha I thought of that after I posted it.

okay good
I think I got that one right then…
I like how some of us are still discussing this 9 hours after the test

but this board makes me feel better ^^ keep up the good work yall

^ I know. I promised myself I wouldnt get on here after the test. And here I amm…on a saturday nightt…sigh
