I would not recommend Barronās. I studied for like two months with that book and honestly it taught a lot of unnecessary thingsā¦Iām one of those people that would normally be okay with learning extra details for the learning experience in general, but Barronās really gave me a lot of useless formulas and other crap that I have never needed to (nor think I will need to) know.
I was freaking out cause I thought I wasnāt prepared for the test cause I didnāt know a ton of the stuff in the Barronās book and I got an 800.
Honestly the math sat is mostly logic in my opinion. That and problem solving.
Barronās was only good for teaching me to rely on my calc more; your calc will really get you through the test with a lot less thinking and a lot more ease. But you can learn to use your calc more from other books.
Iām normally gunho for overprepping but in this case it was a complete waste of time -_-

<p>I literally didnāt study for the december one lol, I am currently taking precalculus Honors as a junior and that might be the reason why. Thank god this test didnāt have so much for matrix and finding the middle term. Just to throw some tips, you should really master your calculator knowledge. Finding the maximum and minimum output of a certain function, even and odd function, basic trig rules like sin^2theta will definitely help you. Also, make sure to know your surface areas and volumes, because they love those questions. </p>
