My daughter said basically the same. She doesn’t read quantum physics books but thought the science was easier then what she had been practicing. The reading she almost ran out of time.
If my proctor didn’t ask for photo indentification will that affect when I receive my score?
Everyone is talking about how hard the science section was, to me, it was easy. Be it was my first time taking the ACT, I can only base that assertion on practice tests. There were many rhetorical questions in English and I didn’t finish a couple of questions in Reading. Math was incredibly straightforward; I hope I got a 30+.
@Boltingflame Use crackact.
what form did you have if you had the easy science? i thought it was brutal and i had 72e
I’m really banking on math and english to compensate for my lower reading/science scores.
@needa33 I had 72E as well. I’m just very math and science oriented. To make you feel better I failed the reading
I also had 72E. I practiced with Princeton Review. I struggled while I was practicing so I did work to hone in on my skills for the science test. The test just didn’t seem hard, I finished with at least five minutes to go.
@Boltingflame Did you find the science as hard as people with 72e?
science was insane i barely finished. i got a 30c on the oct act, hoping for a 31 but i doubt ill get that now lol
am i the only one that struggled a bit with the math?
English was harder than last time (got a 36), but not too hard.
Math was the easiest I’ve ever seen (been taking since December of last year). I felt confident on every single question.
Reading was absolutely horrific. Guessed on probably half.
Science was definitely one of the harder I’ve seen. I’m usually in the 30s in science, but I’m not feeling very confident on this one.
I’m hoping for:
ENG-35
MTH-35
REA-26
SCI-29
Man I have a 31.25 superscore I JUST NEED A POINT INCREASEEE for it to go to 32
English was a bit harder this time but doable and Math was okay
Its just reading and science that screwed me big time. The proctor said halfway through and I started freaking out and so my mood was horrible for all the other following sections.
I hope I do good Idk why I freak out!! I was constantly getting 33s at home and even got a 35 once.
I am just a freak ball!
my d took the test in oct and on the whole thought this test was much harder. She needs to increase one point in any section to superscore to a 34 but she’s not sure she got it done. in particular, she felt science was much harder and math somewhat harder.
I predict:
ENG MATH READING SCI.
36 74-75 60. 39-40. 38-40
35 71-73. 59. 38. 37
34 70. 58. 37. 36
33 69. 57. 35-36. 35
32 68. 56. 34. 33-34
31 67. 54-55. 33. 32
30 66. 53. 32. 31
Maybe a bit harsher for the science. I think everything else is just about right
@Boltingflame I actually thought the science was easy. All you had to do was go find the answers
@cappex really? we had to go find the answers? wish i knew that before the test
@Braveheart53 It just seemed really easy after taking 3 practice tests this week I guess. Built up the endurance and took hard ones from crackact (april 2015, june 2015, june 2013) so this science seemed easier after going over the ones i got wrong on those. Really it is more about looking at the answer choices than looking them up. You can usually narrow it down to 2 just from reading the explanations… Then it is just reasoning
well i took 70D (asia). I have practised from crackact too. Mine went all good except that i guessed on the last passage about some DNA stuff. it had 7 questions. A lot of people guessed on the last one. so its fair to say it was pretty hard.
and our math wasn’t hard either. Went a lot better than the September one.
