******December 2015 ACT Discussion Thread******

Really hope I made at least a 30. Made a 29 on October test so I’m hoping for that extra point

Got my scores back. So pissed. Went down NINE points on Science and six on Reading. How is that even possible unless I bubbled in a section wrong? Anyway, the curve is like this…

English, -2 is a 34
Math - straight curve (-1 is a 35, -2 is a 34, etc)
Reading - All I know is -10 is a 24. So mad about this.
Science - not sure

:frowning:

Got a 31 yet again  however English did improve from 33 to 35 and math moved up from 29 to 30 so I guess that’s something to be proud of. Thought reading and science were gonna destroy me on this test but I got 30 on both.

Have international students started getting their scores?

The ACT rounds up for its composite. But is there a big difference between applicants if one gets a 32.5 and another gets a 33.25, for example?

I got a 33.25 and want to know if there is a major difference between that and a 34. It’s literally 1 question.

Can someone give me their thoughts? Im applying to top schools. i know there isnt much I can do now, but is there a major difference between a 33 and 34?

So for those of us who didn’t get our scores today, when will we get them?

Did anyone get any sleep? I only got like 5 hours of sleep lol

5 hours is a lot lol

Didn’t get my score (International). Any idea when the scores come out?

No scores here in Texas, still says “registered.” UGH.

@kdurkee24 We literally have the same subscores on superscores, lol

Hey all. I received my scores this morning.

I got a 31C, with 34E 36M 25R 29S.

In October though, I got a 32C with 35E 35M 27R 32S 35W, and I sent my Oct ACT to all my schools already.

My superscore is a 32.5 = 33, since I got 1 point up in Math from this month.

Do you guys think I should send my December ACT so that I can superscore to a 33, even though my reading and science are really bad?

@thesebajun Stop wasting time, SEND THEM NOW so they have a chance to get there in time. The answer is yes, the adcoms don’t see the lower scores, just the highest. (for schools that superscore)

@Yomo710 There is not really a difference between the 32.5 and 33.25. Once you get that threshold of a 33+ you you’re good. Colleges won’t reject you because of that score alone. A 33-34 is a marginal difference

My friend has his scores, but mine aren’t out! What the heck!

Where are you from?

Missouri

@Yomo710 No. Colleges know how slim the difference is between a 36, 35, 34, 33, 32, 31, 30. After 29 the marginal difference starts to get wider. But you need to realize that a 33 is 97th percentile. That’s amazing and something you should be proud of. I got a 33 also and I’m ecstatic. Don’t waste your time trying to get it to a 35 or 36 because in reality, you were just a couple of questions away from that, and getting a perfect score is really hard.
