***December 2015 SAT (US Only) Thread***

Hurry up college board! I need my October qas :confused:

Ya the super obvious experimental section was a joke on the october test. I actually tried for some reason. I hope i get the obvious one on saturday. In other news i took math and writing today while sick and got 800,800 with only one writing wrong. Feeling excited for saturday regardless of my health !

I wana really throw away my experimental but Im afraid ill be throwing away a section that turns out to not be experimental XD

@krauser126
A friend of mine took the June SAT and got an experimental on math section. She told me it’s more about the level of difficulty because she didn’t realize it was an experimental after she left the testing center realizing she had 4 sections of math. The math questions on the experimental section are way harder than ā€œnormalā€ SAT math problems. That’s all she told me.

I hope you’ll get an experimental that’s easy to be identified this Saturday! :slight_smile: Good luck!

@kentonpalmer
Congrats!! That’s great. I’m still cramming the Erica grammer book…

@Wreckdecembersat Thanks! I hope you do as well. Currently I’m just doing lots of Grammar practice sections. Already got 800 on Nov. SAT for Math.ive been prepping all summer for CR and got unlucky on Nov. so all I wana do is really prep for Writing and hope for a good CR :stuck_out_tongue:

@krauser126
I’m using a grammar book to study for writing. will memorize more vocabs later and do some practice tests.
Craving for a 2250++++++++ ahhhhhhhh I’m so nervous

Lol turns out its not a bad thing i was sick!!! There was like a gun drawn or something at my school today and they were in lock down for 4 hours while i was doing practice tests at home. I think if i focus in and dont make any silly mistakes i believe i’m capable of the 2300 even while sick!!!

What are the chances I’ll be allowed to take the test? I’m on the wait list XD

Okay so since I had the math experimental last time, I’d say the way to identify it is that the questions and answers look way more wordy than usual, like I mean it looks like paragraphs, you will probably feel like you can’t even finish, and the questions they ask will be way out of the ballpark (ex. what would this researcher do to help his study?). It’s really obvious and I just decided to bubble in random answers halfway through. Don’t try to do it if you know it’s experimental for sure, I got way too stressed out for no reason.

Can anyone else come up with the blatant ways to identify the critical reading and writing experimental sections? I think that would benefit us all so we can have a nice break in one of sections 2-7!

Also, does anyone have any tips for critical reading? For context, every question I missed on the November CR was only from passage based reading and they were all ranked difficult.

@krauser126 High, lots of people decided to cancel their December test after seeing their November score. Also I’ve personally never been in a sat room with perfect attendance.

Weird I haven’t studied since day before Nov. test and I just took a practice test and got 2330 which is higher than I ever got when I was constantly studying. Hopefully this happens again tomorrow lol

Any advice for critical?

And what time is the exam? :stuck_out_tongue:

You’re supposed to be there by 7:30, the test usually starts around 8.
There’s a lot of guides to CR on here that you could read. I think my method is a little too unique and it’d probably just make things confusing.

11 hours left here :confused:

The tests takes place at diff times in diff countries ,right ?

So can’t people cheat this way ?

@satlmaobye You can’t. Or else the FBI will be knocking on your door.

@krauser126 they have discussed answers on previous threads before, this one doesnt make a difference. the person was asking if we could discuss them after the exam.
