So no one else at all got the answer choice (regarding the transportation passage) that said like walking is impractical when machines are there now?
@ratclown @andy276153 Thank you guys/girls!
@JuicyMango Logically, your answer makes sense, however it isn’t correct. The reason is it says that even though transportation has become faster, our lives just get busier so people have become too impatient to walk
@ratclown I also put the answer about people not having enough patience, but most people are saying the the answer was “walking stimulates creative mental activity.”
@Ninjadu Why? What is the reasoning behind the answer
For finding the median in math, what were the options? And i accidentally counted from the top number and the bottom number and found each median.(not counting the actual numbr) Would I still get the same result?
Im sure I chose between 4,5,6. Were they all in answer choices?
@hiDreamer The answer was definitely 5. If I really did get an 800 in CR and WR I’m gonna be mad because if I had just stopped being cocky on the math and actually double-checked (instead of taking a nap in the extra 5-10 mins I had), I could’ve had a chance at getting a perfect score. At least my superscore would be a 2400.
@ratclown To be honest, I’m not really sure because I feel like patience makes more sense in the context of the passage since it talked about people not having time for walking…
I mixed up the ones and the hundreds place and I got a 5 in calc bc /facepalm
Can anyone who put creativity explain why
I know its off topic, but when I send sat scores to colleges, if i update the recipients list, do the colleges I sent my scores previously not get my scores?
I FOUND THE BOOK ABOUT TRAINS AND DISEMBODIMENT AND THE QUOTE ABOUT WALKING:
https://books.google.com/books?id=yfMNDX8VIj4C&dq=trains+disembodiment&q=musing+seeing#v=snippet&q=musing%20seeing&f=false
@Ninjadu It literally says that walking is unpopular due to the lack of time, hence i picked impatience. However, Can you please post exactly what the question asked?
And kudos to you for actually find the passage, is really helpful
rad 6 right?
Well now we know its definitely NOT creativity. It talks about “musing” and “daydreaming” which is just like inactive thinking…not creativity. Ty for posting the passage btw.
5 skips and 1 miss in math…how low will my score be?
I see “musing” and “daydreaming” as creative thinking but out of curiosity what do you think the answer is?
I put appealing but erroneous but idk anymore because the consensus on other sites was accurate but incomplete, which sounds better now that I think about it
Well your raw score would be a 49, and according to the normal curve this is a 710. However this math was RELETIVELY easier for many. The curve for the October test was 20 points deducted from every section from your normal curve score, so you should expect a 710-20= 690 as your math score.
