Brrr, all this chilly & bad weather. I’m glad S has flexibility and will adjust as appropriate to avoid flying in dangerous weather.
Lots of travel in our futures but I’m not going to look up anything as it’s all more than a week out.
Ok, so maybe this doesn’t belong here, but it’s certainly not worth a new thread. Does anyone here have experience driving to/from Williams/Williamstown from the east? How is Route 2 in less than ideal conditions? And what is the deal with that hairpin turn in Clarksburg?
We are encouraging S19 to get his papers turned in by Thurs evening. That way his dad can drive up Thurs, help him pack if needed, and drive home Fri. The weather keeps changing from snow to clear to freezing rain on Saturday… so his dad just wants to be clear of the whole mess and be home Fri evening.
The weather for the Portland airport is looking more favorable for my trip - my flight is at 7 am tomorrow and snow won’t start until the afternoon. We fly through Philadelphia, where the weather isn’t great today. It looks like it’s starting out as snow but turning to rain later in the day. I’m hoping we’ll be OK!!
My H is traveling multiple places this week for work. He could have flown direct from point B to C, but instead he’s flying home because the forecast for location C looks iffy and he doesn’t want to get stranded in city B.
I’m in Baltimore now. Flights are on time now. But they had icing this morning and flights were delayed.
A lady next to me had her flight someplace cancelled because of snow. She is trying to figure out what to do!
The Ohio snow was largely a non-issue (I think?!) - nothing more than a dusting in NW Ohio and in Columbus maybe a couple inches which is melting quickly. D is driving home as we speak!
We decided to cancel our trip ( driving ) to Atlanta next week and chose Orlando instead.
Have a safe trip everyone !
I wisely changed my plane travel from Tuesday (today) to yesterday. I paid an upcharge of $134. I did this Sunday, prior to the storm and weather advisory being put up.
I just called SW Airlines and was given the Customer Relations number…and called. They have credited my account.
All of the flights to my destination for today were cancelled.
^^^ Good call!
