Do you have a test - SAT/ACT. It’s required at many places now (either admission or for money).
W Carolina is $20K all in - and there are others in the $20-30K range - but many will require a test.
U of Arizona (if the 4.0 is unweighted) will give you $32K off tuition - so would be about $25K-ish.
Fine school but they have some budget issues that might impact tuition for next year - so it’s tbd - could be $30K-ish. Their president just resigned so it’s too early to know.
WIth a strong test score, there are options for you. Let us know if you have one.
I just edited a bunch of stuff into my previous reply to you LOL sorry about that. The 4.0 is unweighted. I don’t think I want to go much farther than the New England area but thank you so much for your suggestions
IMO SUNY Binghamton is as good as the other schools you are considering. Most people do have to factor cost into their final choice. Please don’t put yourself in a position where you can’t afford to finish four years of college.
Unfortunately I’m not eligible for TAP, and I got into the honors college at LIU (with the scholarship the net cost is reduced to be very cost-friendly). I also got scholarships from stony brook and Albany.
I graduated from Lehigh eons ago. I transferred out of NYU to go to Lehigh, so experienced two very different types of colleges. And of course things have changed over the years so take my experience with grains of salt. Greek life was very much present at LU, more so for men. In general if men are throwing the parties - fraternities - they want women to show up, not other guys. I had some male friends that didn’t do greek, but their social life was more restricted. But if you compare it to big SEC schools where they rush before classes start freshman year, that’s a whole 'nother level.
The hills - not a problem. Class are literally all downhill from residences. You’ll build muscles. This should not be a concern.
There’s a lot of school spirit, and tailgating is huge. Again, maybe not compared to Alabama or other SEC schools, but it’s a big fun part of home game weekends. The Alumni are proud of the school and the network is strong, with many multi-generational LU families, and you’ll often find them at tailgates. Especially Lehigh-Lafayette. The rivalry is real.
Traditionally known for Engineering, I don’t think Lehigh helped me at all really with job placement since I was Arts & Science. They have improved in this area, especially for business students, but I would look into the services they have for A&S.
LU has a ‘work hard play hard’ atmosphere. I would not say it’s a party school. Kids there do work quite hard at their academics, and have heard more than one grad tell me that their freshman year “humbled” them.
Experience with other LU Alumni’s kids is that LU doesn’t give much $. Go where you can afford it. There are some very strong SUNY schools. HTHs
