<p>My D got a Midyear Acceptance today, same package but with a letter saying that she would start about 3-4 months later, in Jan '06 instead of Aug 05. I’ve never seen or hear about anything like this before, they say that because of the huge number of applications they will offer about 50 students admission second for the second semester, which gives rise to questions about what to do for that period, how to make up the semester and a lot of other imponderables. </p>
<p>Well, I suppose it’s an acceptance, and a number of other kids in her school who, on the face of it it seemed would get accepted over her, didn’t.</p>
