<p>THE UNIVERSITY IS NOT GIVING OUT A SPECIFIC DATE. They have been flooded with calls from false rumors like this and it is not good. Any posts with specific release date/time is wrong. Read post #3 (in response to post #2) when the OP admits to purposefully trying to get a reaction out of people. False info only makes things worse for everyone. The title of this thread is erroneous. Not cool.</p>
<p>Sorry, I can’t speak to the timing of the admission notification, but the UMD website specifically says:</p>
<p>“The new portal also allows you to access your admission decision and respond to your offer of admission online.”</p>

<p>I think you are mistaking the weird “Completed on ____” glitch thing for a decision date announcement. It changes everyday and means nothing. Or so it seems.</p>

<p>Guys The only reason they are not releasing when is because they don’t want the site to crash. I made this thread to have some fun with it because we have been waiting a long time. It honestly feels like years of waiting. I am hoping they will do it today at 5 and that would be awesome.</p>

<p>Here’s what happened: I googled it and under the link for the site I saw that date and it said the decisions would be released that day. I probably shouldn’t rush to conclusions though…</p>
<p>if it says the 27th, shouldn’t that mean they’re released today? it’s a pretty straightforward thing that you saw… IF that’s actually what it said</p>

If you have just recently applied, be advised it may still take up to 48 hours for you to be able to access your application status online. In addition, because of the high volume of documents we process, we are unable to list documents on the day they are received. There will be periods of time, especially close to application deadlines, when documents may take up to two weeks to process. We thank you for your patience.</p>
<p>That means they are updating the site which means Decisions could come today!</p>
<p>I advise everyone have the portal open because it could be very slow getting to it with all the people checking</p>
