Decisions on 28th.....

I’m not so sure my stats will be of any interest to you guys, but I guess since everyone else is posting them: Accepted at UCLA & UC Berkley (Out-Of-State), & Duke, but deferred during the Stanford Restricted Early Action Candidate. (heartbroken!) I know I will go to Duke if things don’t work out well tomorrow, but I think like a lot of us here, I’ve always seen myself as a “Stanford” girl, or the “Stanford” type. I can’t imagine going anywhere else and being as happy as I would be at Stanford.

Good luck to everyone tomorrow! I know we can’t all get in, but I hope everything works out for the best for everyone. If it turns out that someone doesn’t get accepted, I found that the best thing to do after I was deferred (very saddened!), was to talk to someone one-on-one about it (my Dad), for as long as you want-just get it all out. Then GO TO BED. A little sleep will allow you to calm down and think about other college alternatives.

I was deferred, but they say that the acceptance rate for deferred applicants is 10%-and I think the acceptance rate for regular decision applicants is 11 or 12% so I figure I still have a shot. =)

But again, best of luck. I look forward to spending hours compulsively checking online with you guys! ;)
