It’s hard to say whether to take the advisor’s advice without more context but I can tell you that often the General advisors don’t give the best advice for getting into Kelley (you can search threads about M211 for some atrocious advice they have given). I would say you need to make plan that allows you to get into Kelley with the least amount of resistance. The only reason I would say you shouldn’t take a CC class is if it’s an easy class you’re going to take at IU to get into Kelley. Don’t waste an easy Kelley admissions requirement at CC because that will pressure to take a more challenging requirement at IU.
