Child got into Arizona State, University of Rhode Island, University of Alabama, Kansas, PSU, waiting for 4 more (in addition to the deferrals to USC and UTK). Going somewhere!!!

JMU is on my dtr’s list, too! I hear so many great things about it.
my son deferred at Clemson and UGA. 3.85 uw/ 4.2 w; 1400 SAT
so far he’s been accepted at Auburn, Penn State, Univ of New Hampshire; Alabama; SMU; Univ of Denver, Montana State and Virginia Tech. He’s got good options but UGA and Clemson were top choices. However we are also very much chasing merit as affordability is an issue!

Alabama seems like it will be giving you the most merit based on those acceptances. Clemson and Aisha’s not known for a lot of merit.

Montana State is such a cool school if you’re into the outdoors. D24 did a camp there. I went to pick her up and spent some time in Bozeman. Amazing.

Daughter deferred to these as well as UGA, UTK. She had the SRAR issue at UTK and finding out about that it looks like she had it at Clemson as well. She contacted them last week, wondering how many others had multiple schools effected by SRAR and pushed to deferred
What was the srar issue and how did you know it happened to you at Clemson?

Is the issue at Clemson confirmed or assumed? We had at UTX and both SRAR dates where listed on that portal. Clemson still only has the initial date submitted in plenty of time for EA. I called any school to still be informed to be sure there were no other SRAR issues. Others could see the 2nd date, others don’t allow an update to flow through, and others like PSU use a different link for this very reason (students updating and getting multiple hits). UTK’s system messed up as it allowed the later date to override the first one. Other schools said they use the FIRST SRAR date that was in by the deadline. Just sharing what I uncovered a few weeks back… although I never called Clemson since their EA decisions were already released.

My son was deferred from Clemson and UGA (both top choices) but checked his USC portal right before the UGA deferral came through and he got in. Took the sting out of it! LSU and Alabama have offered the most merit so far.

TYSM for this explanation. I was nauseous when I first saw the UTK message last month. Was wondering why it only affected UTK but none of the other schools that req’d the SRAR.

Any idea when JMU comes out?
“mid-January”–someone said it usually comes out Tues or Thurs, I’m hoping by 1/16… though my daughter said 1/15 is “the” day.
