If you really want to go to Pitt, you could try studying to increase your ACT or SAT score. There’s lot of great info on how to go about doing that on those boards. My daughter and I put together a self study plan for her and it really helped based on info we found here. She took the ACT without any prep and got a 30. She took it again without any prep and got a 31. She then put in a total of 17 hours of prep (we know cause she tracked her total practice time), mainly on reading section as it was by far her lowest section and some time into English and Math as well, and got a 33, and a 34 with superscoring. The biggest thing for her was the timing on the reading. Her goal was a 33 and she was thrilled to meet it, as it is a minimum for possible scholarships at several of her college choices. We followed advice on the ACT boards on CC, which said to start practicing a section without timing it, and be sure to review your wrong answers. After you start getting more correct that way, then start timing. The key to the practice is to thoroughly understand why you are getting the wrong answers for each and every wrong answer. She really needed push herself hard through the reading sections (she said she felt like she was “zooming”) to get through them as she’s naturally a slower reader. You seem like a very strong candidate - perhaps that’s all it would take - maybe work on your two lowest sections and re-take? Duquesne seems like a great opportunity and offers the same great location. Just a suggestion and good luck - your stats indicate you will succeed wherever you go! I wouldn’t suggest just retaking without prep though cause it usually doesn’t help most people, again according to the ACT prep boards on CC.
