Deferred from School of Nursing

Pitt’s middle 50% CR+M SAT for students offered admission in 2011 was 1200-1420 while the range for deposited students was 1170-1390. ACT was 26-31 for admissions offers and 25-31 for deposited students.

Your 1080 SAT and 25 ACT is in the bottom 25% of admissions offers. Keep in mind the Nursing school may be even more competitive. You absolutely should take your SATs and/or ACTs again if you want to better your chances of getting in Pitt’s main campus.

However, you should be aware that Pitt’s School of Nursing also started a [nursing program at the Pitt-Johnstown campus](http://www.upj.pitt.edu/27361/). As far as I know, it is the same program and results in the same diploma. If things don’t work out for Pitt-main, it could be a Pitt alternative.
