<p>Could any of you offer advice on these points of sending an update email:
- Is this sort of a one time shot, and only in January?
- Should you send one even without anything important to say, just so that you still look interested?</p>
<p>I feel like I could send a fluff one today or I could wait a bit til I have more interesting stuff to say and send a better one, not sure which is more advisable.</p>
