<p>You need to use good judgement. To be more clear, anything beyond a parent legacy is meaningless. Depending on what it is, it will hurt your application because it will counter one or more criteria’s officers are looking for.</p>
<p>Parent helped a prof’s son? No…best chance is to get the prof to help. Parent donated? Bad idea. Parent went to summer school? Implying a false legacy! Uncle legacy? They don’t care, seriously. If it doesn’t make your case more convincing, you’re not helping yourself. Good luck.</p>
