Well it is over! This is my last post on CC for now! I was waitlisted (a nice surprise actually) but will repsond with a NO tomorrow so great people like you might have a greater chance of attending your dream school!!! Go Eagles and good night friends and college confidential! It’s been real. Really real.

Emails don’t come till later in the school/work day… I wouldn’t suggest waiting for an email at 12:30am.
this is ridiculous… got waitlisted after being deferred since december. this has been such a crappy day… feel like i have worked hard for nothing.
You guys are dumb as hell if you think people withdrawing apps will do anything. They already purposely over enroll because they have a feel of what the yield would be. They’ve been doing this for decades, withdrawing apps won’t do anything.

Waitlisted for engineering, but I guess that makes my decision easier 
I got into UVA so I will deny the waitlist bc I know other people want and deserve it more than I do. It’s just so sh*tty they would keep all of us deferred applicants waiting so long just to give bad news. Good luck everybody
@quiteabeaan YESS!!! I was so shocked, I was face timing my parents when I opened it, expecting a rejection but saw an acceptance.
I also got waitlisted! But I got accepted to UCLA/waitlisted at Berkeley so I don’t think I’ll be accepting it either

Got into Berkeley. Man, it is either UMichigan Ross or Berkeley (Econ then Haas).

Waitlisted…same with Notre Dame.
I was Waitlisted, but I came downstairs, told my parents, and we literally mini-partied. We’re so pathetic, but seeing anything other than a rejection was exciting enough for us! HAHA XD
So stats for WL for me: 3.92 Weighted, UW is likely 3.5 or 3.6 (yeah it’s not pretty); SAT is 2210 (superscored 2220)
^though definitely a rigorous course load
I think it was expected, and maybe my LOCI cemented my non-rejected status, but I DON’T WANNA WAIT ANYMORE

UW GPA: 4.1 (our GPA system is very weird) (I got 3 A- throughout HS as my lowest grades)
SAT: 2020/1420 24 Essay (Subject tests: 750 Math II, 770 Lit)
IB Predicted: 43/45
Time to call it a thoroughly exhausting day…

I looked up the decision appeal process, though, and it seems as if UMich doesn’t have one. This is what their website says:
Is there an appeal process for students who are denied admission or offered a spot on the waitlist?
Since each application goes through multiple comprehensive, holistic, and individualized reviews before
an admission decision is released, we are confident in our decision and there is no appeal process. We
encourage applicants who have been denied freshman admission to consider applying as a transfer
student in the future. Many students come to the University of Michigan in this way and go on to earn a
Michigan degree.
