@Seacoast Honestly until I get admitted, U of M athletics can suck a fat one
@Seacoast yup I watched the game too! I think this team will make the tournament
@Seacoast but if I do get that admissions letter, Go Blue
so if view decision link is still there, more than likely no decision for me today?
Anybody know how many people get deferred as opposed to flat out denied?
OMG… @UofMorMSU you are the bomb! :D/
On CC we actually haven’t seen any denied have we? At least not yet or people aren’t sharing…not really sure.
Whoever’s moderating this forum is a buzzkill
@Seacoast Is your link gone?
Still there…but I’m not convinced it disappears. I think people are having computer issues…but that’s just me. Maybe it’s true but I have seen here on CC that people get all hyped that it disappeared only to be disappointed. So I am not reading anything into it. Nor am I believing that person who said decisions are coming tonight. My plan is I will know when I know and not before… =))
The University received my 7th Semester Grades this Monday, would that be too recent a date to receive a decision tonight/tomorrow?
@MICHIGAN410 we have no idea…I think it’s great you sent them in and it’s probably all good. You will hear the good news when you hear the good news…what are you in for ? Ross? Engineering? something else wonderful and amazing?
I have totally been lurking on this thread, checking everyday since I got deferred in December. Can’t wait to hear back from U of M, hopefully sooner rather than later. If I can’t attend UMich, I will attend Eastern Michigan right next door but I am really hoping to hear good news from UMich! I am IS, and two people from my very small rural high school (my bffs) got in EA first round, hoping to join them next year. We usually only get 1-3 kids who go to Michigan, most don’t go to any other school besides community college!
Engineering.
Honestly, all my stats line up with Michigan’s.
Strong SAT Math Score (750), Respectable SAT English Score (670)
Solid Extracurriculars/Achievements
3.92 GPA (6th Sem) 4.02 (7th Sem)
(In State, by the way)
I, and likely all of us, felt upset when admissions didn’t go our way (on the first round that is).
Still, I can think of 2 things that might have done me in on the first round of admissions.
- I didn't take any AP courses until Senior Year. I am taking 4 now and am succeeding in all of them (Calc BC, Spanish, Chemistry, Physics).
- Call it petty, but it might have something to do with my Race and Gender. (White, Male) I have come to understand that Michigan might have different admissions standards when it comes to minorities. This would put me in the worst possible demographic.
@MICHIGAN410 I’m not trying to discredit you or anything, but I can’t see how your stats are in line with Michigan’s. I was deferred from LSA with a 800 Math 2, 34 ACT, and 4.2 GPA. I’ve taken 11 AP Courses throughout high school. I come from a highly competitive area, and the average SAT at my governor school is 2200+
Also, you’re white so that’s not even as bad as being Asian, which I am. Realize that there are plenty of people with better stats than you that got deferred.
Someone from my school got in this morning… I’m guessing they’re randomly releasing them on a rolling basis
Has anyone OOS CofE been admitted within the past couple of days?
When might the next round for Ross come out???
I was admitted today COE International
lol honestly i’m done w umich
