Your SAT score is good for admission to any Florida college, but USF may have deferred you if your grades took a sharp nose dive your junior year. Doubt volunteer hours mean anything. USF prefers high GPAs with lower test scores to higher test scores with lower GPAs. Maybe USF got spooked by your junior year grades and they are waiting to see if your grades went up this fall semester–make sure USF gets your grades for this last semester.

Anyway, the best thing you can do with USF is contact them and find out exactly why they deferred you and what you need to do to be admitted. People guessing on this blog why you got deferred isn’t going to help you much–get with USF admissions. Good luck.
