<p>For that reason, UCI will not grant you a deferment. You would have to reapply for Fall '13. Regardless to whether you go to UCI this year or apply again for next year, the cost for 2 years at UCI will be basically the same. Loans, grants, and outside scholarships exist for a reason. Tell your parents that they’re the ones who are delaying your education by an entire year by making you feel as if you have to make the choice to stay.</p>
<p>For some reason, I’m under the assumption that you’re Asian. Now that I saw all the threads that you’ve posted, it makes me wonder if you even know if you want to major in Psych or Bio or if your parents are pushing you towards one of those. You should major in what you’re interested in.</p>
