Deleting a poster vs deleting a thread

It looks like there was a new poster (Dudley something) whi joined recently and was probably a ■■■■■, based on many posts made by that person. Looks like that poster is gone, but now so is a thread in , I believe, the parents forum discussing GPA vs SAT, and which people thought was more important. Because that thread was started by dudley, with his departure, the thread is also gone. It was actually an interesting thread, save for the rude posts by dudley later in the thread. Is it possible to resurrect the thread without the poster?

Hello??? Any chance of reviving the thread, even with the poster being gone? The 2 posts by the OP in the thread, other than the original post itself (which was reasonable) were irrelevant rants, and removing them would not change the content or flow of the thread

Hello jym,

Unfortunately, I am not able to locate the thread based on the info you have provided (i.e. I see no records of a user containing “Dudley” that joined recently). I am also not seeing any deleted threads on the Parents Forum about “GPA vs. SAT”.

I wasn’t the one who removed the poster, but I’m assuming the thread would have little chance of being restored.

Here ya go - I found the thread title in my computer history <a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-act-tests-test-preparation/801450-why-do-people-think-gpa-much-more-important-than-sat-2.html[/url]”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-act-tests-test-preparation/801450-why-do-people-think-gpa-much-more-important-than-sat-2.html&lt;/a&gt;

And now that auto-notification is working again, I’ll have another way to track threads!! :slight_smile:

Thanks, jym. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to revive this thread.

oh well. Thanks
