<p>well, sooner or later, china and india for the win… bask in the few years of glory the american universities have… it doesnt hurt to apply OP and we understand where you are coming from… and by the way if you want to talk about “hardworking parents”… and generalize that everyone is rich please reconsider… my father came to america with 20 $ american and a suitcase filled with clothes… he had to struggle finding a job here because self-centered US thinks foreign universities such as the university of new dheli which is currently the leading university in aerospace/financial/economical development of india( why u think india is so prosperous) arent up to par with the credentials earned abroad thinking education in foreign places is weak… yah so my dad wasted his youth getting a Masters in Economics at 18 years old and Masters in Communication just to be told “We require a US education to function in this job environment… u are not quite up to the level”… wanna talk about hard work now you know… dont generalize people… no everyone is rich… im happy with my dads income bracket of 55k a year… supporting a family of 5… so please remember some people are out there that are similar in ur position if not worse… and by the way, if u are passionate about something pursue it… dont necessarily do ECs/Volunteering for the benefit of lookin good on a resume… do it for the inspiration in others lives and setting an example to the future youths who will be pursuing after you… volunteering is meant for fun and developing urself within a great environment with other like minded people… dont do it for the sake of benefitting urself please… that is pathetic… And i agree HSisoverrated is quite a pathetic person for just bashing online… how low can you go? well he just proved that by insulting someone online… wow pathetic…</p>
