<p>Well, I wish they didn’t mean anything, but unfortunately they really do. The acceptance rate of a school tells you the standards of a school and how likely of a chance you have of getting in. It helps to know the statistics just to get a general idea of how demanding the school is. For all I know, Desautels could have an 8 percent acceptance rate or a 48 percent acceptance rate.
