<p>I don’t understand why at least minimal bookshelf space isn’t provided in the newer dorms. Most students have at least one shelf of textbooks and class materials. When I lived in Martha Parham, back during the Paleolithic Era, there were bookshelves attached to the walls above our desks. </p>
<p>We purchased a freestanding bookshelf for my daughter’s room in Lakeside West and were actually able to find floorspace for both the freestanding bookshelf and a portable keyboard – even without putting any of the furniture under the bed. Just another option to consider.</p>
