@whippymop, apply to what you really want to do- especially if it is hard to move between paths, as engineering can be. Your ECs do not have to be aligned, much less perfectly aligned, with the subject you want to study: you shape the narrative of your application. Your cumulative academic and EC experiences have been part of why you have chosen your path- both directions to go, and not to go. Students sometimes forget that figuring out what paths don’t suit is just as important as figuring out which ones do!
