I would not consider that an acceptance and I don’t know if they offered those during EA. She would have most likely been deferred and then been offered that during RD. Not 100% sure about that part. My son just got into GT and we paid attention to all the acceptance threads and only saw people talk about being offered the transfer pathway during RD and not EA.
^ I know of students (esp. Girls and lower income kids) who were offered this in the early phase.
Thank you to everyone for taking the time to answer! I think the Transfer Pathway sounds similar to what she described. My other classmate has gotten into another one of the schools he’s had an eye on so I think he’ll be just fine. 
If my friend got in on this program I’m happy for her, and hope that she’ll make a change for the better as she grows up. ^^
You only have to get into the school you are going to attend!! It is not uncommon for people to say they got into schools that they didn’t sadly. Though @privatebanker yours is a douzy since you can’t apply to all of those schools early. Maybe they should research their lie a little 
College will be a nice fresh start for you!!
