<p>stanford does not recalculate GPA. when i asked an admissions officer about the gpa cateogories, she said to not worry about it. just that most people who apply to stanford and get in have very good (meaning straight a’s to a couple of b’s here and there) academic records. their percentiles thing is “skewed” she said because every school reports grades differently and they don’t take the time to recalculate the gpa. they just look at it in context of the school you went to</p>
