Did you ever take chem or calc at UC Davis?

From Toupa, you’ll get to learn about the life curve and hear a heavy accent. He’s not the best chem prof, but he’s not the worst. Never had him, but went to his review sessions and heard from people who did have him.

I personally had Daddel twice and was very sad both times. If you’re smart, his class isn’t hard. You do homework for extra credit (not much though) and his curves are generally pretty fair. However, if you need help you’re better off going to the TA’s imo. You’ll get weekly quizzes at the beginning of discussion except on midterm weeks. You’ll have 3 midterms and get two course grading options, just tell him you want whatever the gives you the highest grade. He’s a nice old man, but I hated him with every ounce of my being during midterms/finals. And pay attention during class, he’ll call out people for questions and walk up and down the isles. No laptops/phones/etc… during class, he’ll call you on it. Lec attendance not required (have to attend discussion for quizzes), but I don’t recommend missing. He moves quickly.

And if you’re taking him for the 17 series and need the book, i have mine and solutions manual which I no longer need, if you’re in the market for a deal with both of them, pm me.
