<p>Some UCs want IGETC for Comp Sci, some do not. The ones that don’t tend to have a lot of technical pre-reqs, so the idea is that you should focus on those instead. Assist.org should state for each school whether or not IGETC is recommended.</p>
<p>Taking a couple GE classes before you transfer is a good idea. Make sure you’re meeting the [UC</a> minimum requirements](<a href=“http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/transfer/requirements/minimum-requirements/index.html"]UC”>http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/transfer/requirements/minimum-requirements/index.html) too, that requires a humanities or two, and some english. Apart from that, if there’s room in your schedule it might be a good idea to take some random GE classes, since you’ll need to fill the breadth requirements after you transfer.</p>
