Ran a couple of miles this morning that I wasn’t in the mood to do, but forced myself to because I knew we were making a stop at the amazing local bakery for donuts as the first stop on our “girls day out” - my two daughters and I. Glad I did get the miles in, but also really enjoyed the donut. Noodles and Company for a quick lunch today. Did my fair share of carb loading today too. Oh well!

Sad, sad day. Baby kiddo is on the plane heading to Spain.

Ran 5 miles on the Precor - by the time I was done running errands, it was 45 degrees and pouring rain. Ugh.

Went to Lulu to return the coat I ordered online. They gladly took it and said that it would sell in 5 minutes. There was a ton of stuff on the clearance rack, so I dug in! Got some future presents for kiddos (shorts and tees) and treated myself to a lovely burgundy color sweater with pockets for my iPhone.

Good morning, and happy holiday trails to all
I am finally back home, staring at the hill in the dark, and thinking the time is nigh to resurrect my own bunny (that looks a lot like a box turtle ;)

Of course, my three sisters descend on me today for some dual birthday shenanigans that typically invoke a debauch of food and drink, so I’m not out of, or rather into the woods just yet ;)

Plugging along. Doing something daily, usually a swim or spin.

BB, is your D living in Spain? Or studying? Safe travels for her.

Yesterday had a fun day out doing some after Christmas shopping - my favorite, no pressures! Had the opportunity to stop in a Lulu store - I have decided that I will be the oddball and say that I just don’t love their stuff - like bottoms more than tops but the tops just seem to heavy to/for me. I think I’m more of an Athleta/Marmot gal. I did see one of the pretty pink down “jacket” tops you all have been talking about – AND I admit, THAT was adorable! It was on the clearance rack - size 6, marked down to $99 from $168 or something like that - thought about you all!!!

Hosting a “mini” Super Bowl feast at our house today - our Packers vs. our Michigan families Lions. Heading to the store now for some healthy options - fruit and salad fixins - to go along with the chicken tortilla soup (that’s not bad) and sub sandwiches and dips!

Got back from Germany last night. I’m going to rest today, but tomorrow going to get back on the bike. We walked a whole lot of course, but I doubt enough to erase all those Weiner Schnitzels and potatoes. :-*

Ditto on the wishes for safe travels!

Sounds like fun, Abasket. Have a great day!

“BB, is your D living in Spain? Or studying? Safe travels for her.”

Thanks! She is just visiting her BF who works there.
Abasket, have fun! Nrdsb, we turned on the TV while exercising last night and watched a guy traveling Germany using a guide book from 1913. Fascinating! After seeing all the yummy food the guy consumed, we had red kraut, herring, and sausages for dinner after the exercise. Amazingly, I found all of that in the fridge. Now I need to devise a plan to burn off the unplanned feast.

We had a big snowfall yesterday, so going to ski someplace to watch the football game.
http://rollinghuts.com

40 degree rain, which is my deal-breaker weather for running outside. Did not see how I was going to stand the dreadmill today, but I managed the 4.7 miles necessary to get a 35 mile week. 5 miles ahead of bunny. Just a few miles to go for the 1300.

Did a little over 4 today - 4.12 to be exact. Happily outdoors but again, really warm. Raining now.

D left a little after noon - way too much eating and drinking this week but far less than in years past. Dinner out Friday because I was sick of cooking - and a huge Thai feast last night. Overall, nothing too terrible though. I think I’ll take a rest day tomorrow. My legs are tired.

Good job all! Besides two dog walks, my only exercise today was while we were playing Dicecapades ( a board game) - my card challenge called for doing 20 push-ups in 30 seconds - I said forget it but my family made me give it an effort -and I did it!!! By the skin of my teeth, but I did it!!!

Saw the David Bowie exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art, then went to a nearby hotel for brunch. Had egg white, spinach and kale tacos - really good. Does window shopping count as cardio? Then went home and did yoga class.

High-five, abasket!

You bet it does, Pizzagirl! Especially when I see something that I like so much that my heart starts beating faster. ;)

Weights for me today!

Yay, abasket!

Re: LuLu. Remember that the stock changes some every week. Some weeks I don’t see anything I like, other weeks I want everything. Bunsen and I can attest to how good the WunderUnder leggings and other Lulu tights are both for athletic wear and causal/business casual wear.

Yes, the WunderUnder leggings are fantastic and truly universal! I even wore them as tights with boots under a (rather fancy) Max Mara dress/blazer combo when it was cold outside!

There is some (mostly yoga and fashion) stuff at Lulu I don’t care about, but certain things like the abovementioned leggings, fluff-off hoodies, shorts and running skirts are real gems.

I did get a Lulu headband for Christmas in my stocking - I do love the way it looks and it’s super comfortable!

Cold but sunny here. Going for a walk!

Looking forward to house guests but not to their dietary requirements. One can’t have dairy, one can’t have peppers of any kind, one can’t tolerate spicy foods. I would say at least we aren’t hosting the vegetarian but I’d rather make spicy veggie meals than boring meat/potatoes/pasta.

At least we all like dark chocolate.

Good on the dark chocolate!
3.1 outside miles this morning. Gloomy and damp, but good to have some fresh air. 2 miles to go to the 1300 for the year. I may do it after work to just have it done!
