Difference between a 740 and 750

It should not make much of a difference. 10 points can really come down to luck. The only time it ever really could make a difference is if you were up against a kid for a spot and you literally had IDENTICALLY impressive apps and one of you had the 740 and the other the 750. But really, 10 points on one subject test is almost negligible in the grand scheme of things.

UNLESS you think you can bump your score up by far more than 10 points, don’t sweat it and don’t retake. Testing a zillion times makes you look neurotic and I’m sure that there are other, better places for you to invest your money, time, effort, and energy than into a subject test in the hopes of gaining 10 points.

Good luck–and a 740 is fantastic! What schools are you looking at?
