<p>It might matter if one of the schools you are interested in is Harvey Mudd. Their $40,000 merit awards used to be given to students who met certain criteria, including a 750 on the Math II, a 750 on the SAT math, a 700 on the SAT CR, and a 700 on the SAT Writing. I don’t know if that is still the case – if you are interested in the school you should find out though and retake if necessary.</p>
