Difference between credit for a class, and unit credit for a history major at UCR?

No, you don’t get credit twice. You have twenty units of credit that is applied to those five classes.

From my understanding, when you get credit for AP classes, it’s applied to specific classes at the university, you don’t just have 20 units floating around on your transcript as “AP credit”.

Assuming you pass the exams, you’ll have 20 units worth of credits, which is 5 classes. It’ll be difficult to get up to 45 credits with just that and some summer classes.
