I like the advice above. I was a commuter throughout college. My social life revolved around work friends. I am very sociable and outgoing, but I literally never made a single friend at college. Tbh, I do think you might want to consider attending college closer to your home, if that’s an option. If CUNY Brooklyn is the only place offering your course, that might not work. If you don’t already have a part time job, consider working at a fun place like a restaurant or mall store where you will meet others.
