Overall average grades average closer to B+ than B- (though engineering may be tougher). If you plan to major in BME to go on to med school remember my most famous quote from this board: Majoring in BME because you want to go to med school is like climbing Mt. Everest because you want to get some fresh air.
Also IMHO one way to be an unhappy freshman at JHU is to think of it as the first year of an 8 year medical program. Study what you love or are interested in and make the most of your undergraduate years.</p>
