<p>After reading this thread and several others that talk about WUSTL scholarships and Discovery Weekend, it appears that quite a few kids that were invited to Discovery Weekend for an all expense paid trip posted that they applied and were awarded one of the full tuition or half tuition merit scholarships. Do you think you have less of a chance to receive one of these merit scholarships (especially Ervin/Rodriquez) if you were not one of the ones invited for this all expense paid weekend? I am assuming that if you were invited to attend the weekend your chances must be quite a bit greater. I read on a thread that there were about 300 kids there for Discovery Weekend (invited and those who signed up on their own). Anyone know what percentage of those kids were invited with all expense paid or partial paid? I am just wondering if someone who didn’t attend Discovery Weekend has much of a chance of getting one of those scholarships.</p>
