<p>One mid considered herself ‘lucky’ to be on a chit this week so she didn’t have to eat in the mess hall, i.e., she could recuperate better without eating navy fare. That’s pretty sad. However, today she said the fish smelled “disgusting,” but the salad and string cheese were pretty good. (We have an inside joke about someone we know who got hepatitis from tainted fish tacos–hence, we refer to fish tacos as ‘killer tacos.’) I wonder how many mids thought they had the flu, when it actually was food poisoning.</p>
