I’m sure it will be great. Congrats on your purchase.
You are so kind!
It’s kinda sad that obsessing over buying a new DW was my hobby-du-jour. At the end of the day, it is just an appliance. Time to move on to the next first-world problem. ![]()
You’re not alone. Some like the aesthetics. Others the Consumer Reports reviews. Some bring dishes to see how they fit. It’s an appliance you use several times a day so it’s worthy of the focus you placed.
Purchases we don’t make often can involve factors we don’t know to consider. Better to ask first!
Several times per day seems like more dishwasher cycles than most households would do.
Several times per day loading dishes, if you load after each meal or usage as I do. Dishwashers, as noted above, have different configurations - some 2 layers, some 3 layers with a silverware level, and different spacing levels so each person may have a different preference.
So unless you let dishes pile up (and I imagine many do), then yes - several times a day for loading - is what I was talking about, not running which might be once every few days (at least it is for me).
And I am glad I took the time to think about what my preferences were!
I didn’t care about having a lot of cycle options (which I always knew) but learned that I did care about the racks and their spacing (which I did NOT know until now).
Hmm… our DW is fairly quite (we paid $100 extra in 1993 to upgrade from cheaper option). We do run it at night, will need to think on that. Never run the DW, washer or dryer when going out.
