Disturbing allegations

I am exceedingly glad that this wave of change and accountability is washing through entertainment and political realms and will hopefully spill over into the corporate world where this type of behavior is also, sadly, rampant. It has too long been a protected boys club secret/non-secret since women began entering the workforce in every industry that at some point a man in power could harass, abuse, assault, demean women and abjectly get away with it being protected by the fear of women to come forward and the network of deniability maintained by the enablers with which they surround themselves. In my 30 years working at a management and now executive level in the corporate world I have seen it, experienced it and watched it be ignored. Heck - I ignored it. What could I do? I felt powerless. But that, ladies and gentleman, is changing and I am so thrilled that our young performers are going to be the beneficiaries of this sea change and enter a more responsible, accountable and self-policed environment where even those who are left inclined to bad behavior will be too scared to follow through after what they have witnessed these past few months. Time to drain the swamp in the entertainment industry and start fresh - hopefully with many more women in positions of power and authority. That’s my dream anyway!
