@merc81- Understand your point. The academic interests of students vary considerably between institutions and year to year within the same institution. IMO, the number of students who happen to be graduating as chemistry majors in a given year is a minor consideration.

Don’t overlook the D3 public schools: Christopher Newport University in VA came to mind right away. Others that might work at the Massachusetts state schools, Frostburg or Salisbury in MD. I know its far, but I really have a fondness for the Wisconsin directionals. Good luck!
