<p>Late reply, but I’m a current DUS student and there’s really no drawback that I’ve found. As long as you’re taking the prerequisites that you need to enter the major you want (check out <a href=“http://dus.psu.edu/students/sem_plans.html”>http://dus.psu.edu/students/sem_plans.html</a> to find the recommended academic plans and major requirements), DUS is perfectly fine. The only thing is that with the stricter STEM majors like biology, it can be tough to catch up if you haven’t been taking the prereqs. Good luck!</p>
