<p>I don’t see anything wrong or inappropriate about emailing a couple of your teachers. If they had that much of an influence on you, then it’s only fair to them that you keep them in your life. I e-mailed steadily with my high school band director from 11th grade, when he retired, until this year, and that’s only because he has a facebook now and we keep contact through that. I also am facebook friends with my middle school band director. I don’t think it’s weird, because those two are the reason I am a music major today, and they’re closer to me than family. Actually, I’m not allowed to eliminate my HS teacher from my life, because as he said, “I want an invitation to every concert, recital, graduation, wedding, and christening. EVERYTHING.” hahahahaha
So if you have a relationship like that with one or two teachers, go for it!</p>
