e5, as you probably already know, those test scores are your main obstacle. Hit 'em hard. Here are the median score ranges for HMC’s admits in this year’s admission cycle:</p>
<p>SAT CR: 690-770
SAT M: 740-800
SAT W: 690-770
SAT Math 2 subject: 760-800
ACT Composite: 33-35</p>
<p>Does other stuff matter – you bet it does. Demonstrated interest, the interview, the essays, the GPA and class standing (27% are vals)… all those things are considered. If you took those college courses you mention, your college transcript would be considered too (although the credits wouldn’t transfer). But do put some work into getting your test scores into a competitive range. Search the SAT forum for “xiggi method” and see if that will help you. Good luck!</p>
